Since the introduction of the European EN 12056 about 20 years ago, new drain pipe dimensions have become available on the market. Water-saving lavatories can be connected with smaller dimensions than DN 100. Already at that time SAINT-GOBAIN PAM Soil & Drain offered to the market the new dimension DN 75. Up to 5 bathrooms including WC's can be connected to a common DN 75 downpipe. This raised the question of the necessity of DN 70.
For many years the company SAINT-GOBAIN PAM has been supplying DN 70, however starting from first of January 2022, the company will stop production of DN 70 pipes & fittings. Please check for stock availability.
FOR RENOVATION PROJECTS, CONNECTING DN 70 TO DN 75 IS EASY!
PAM cast iron DN 70 pipes or fittings connections to DN 75 may be required for renovation. In these cases you can use a stepping ring together with PAM RAPID DN 75 coupling to make the necessary transition as shown below:

C - PAM RAPID DN 75
D - PAM cast iron pipe or fitting DN 75
