Hrastnik Glassworks

We supplied the materials and performed mechanical installation of the Victaulic system for cooling and process water in Hrastnik Glassworks.

 Project characteristics:

• Implementation of the stainless steel pipeline for process and cooling water,
• Sizes from DN 15 to DN 200 in a total length of approx. 1200m,
• Mounting height at 3,5m,
• Due to time pressure, this was the only way of pipe joining, enabling us to honour the dead line (5 times faster than welding),
• Due to the gasket form, the medium has no contact with the coupling housing, and because the environment is non-aggressive, zinc clamps may be used,
• Due to the need for dismantlable connection, the Victaulic version amounted to only 20% of the total cost of a flanged connection.
