By spraying water, its metal columns create a refreshing splash during the summer months, and the look of the area is also a real refresher. This feature is part of new urban installations that started to be included in May 2022 during the renovation of Čufarjeva Street between Miklošičeva and Resljeva Streets. The renovation gradually opened up pedestrian and cycling areas and changed the traffic regime. All related infrastructure, public lighting and stationary traffic were upgraded, and utility lines were relocated. Additional greenery, a fountain, a drinking fountain and new paving, together with the promotion of sustainable mobility, also contribute to cooling of this area and mitigating the effects of climate change.
As part of redevelopment of the area, CMC GROUP carried out mechanical and electrical work on the sprinkler system. The mechanical installations and the wiring from the connection to the machine room were carried out. In accordance with the designers' plans, it was ensured that the desired spray effect and mist density were achieved. In doing so, several tests were carried out and the automatic operation of the sprinkler was adjusted. The electrical cabinet contains a controller that regulates the operation according to the time settings and external factors. When the humidity is too high and the atmospheric temperature too low, the sprinklers do not work.
