Telescopic surface boxes
- Cover and housing made of nodular cast iron,
- The cover has an integrated EPDM-gasket which prevents noise and opening of the cover,
- The cover can withstand loads in accordance with the class D 400,
- The upper part of the surface box is adjustable and thus always keeps flush with the driving surface,
- The lower part of the surface box does not require a concrete underlay; it is placed into fresh concrete,
- With newly constructed roads, there are no problems when driving over the surface box as the level of the upper part of the surface box is only defined in the concluding phase of the asphalt instalment,
- No problems when adjusting the height of the surface box as the upper part is freely movable,
- Adjusting the cover placement angle between 4,8° for the surface box for valves, and 6,8° for the surface box for a hydrant,
- The cover is attached to the housing via a stainless steel hinge for theft-prevention and easy opening,
Structure: ductile iron housing, ductile iron cover, EPDM insert on the cover, stainless steel hinge.
Field of application: surface boxes are installed on all surfaces with low traffic frequency.
Installation: the lower part of a surface box is laid onto a fresh concrete bed; the upper part is placed flush with the asphalt level.
