CMC was selected to be a contractor based on a public tender by the investor Dars d.d. Our company accomplished all the electrical and mechanical works required for the construction of the new hydrant network with a pumping station, and a LED direction indicator system using induction direction indicators.
The entire length of the hydrant pipeline and ductile iron pipes DN 150mm amounts to approx. 1950m, there are 15 safety niches with a hydrant, and two hydrants at each portal in both tunnel tubes. Heating of all branches for hydrant niches has also been implemented.
The new water storage tank with pumping station is a reinforced concrete structure, mostly dug-in underground and imperceptible – except for the entrance wall. Electrical and mechanical equipment of the pumping station was implemented in line with the Detailed design for providing fire safety in both tunnel tubes. The pipelines of the pumping station and some of the fire-safety armatures were implemented using Victaulic grooved couplings.
The LED direction indicator system consists exclusively of induction direction indicators, thus — due to wireless power transfer (electromagnetic induction) — enabling easier maintenance as well as exchange in case of damage/failure.
The entire system has recently been connected to the monitoring system of the motorway operator (motorway base Vransko) via the communication protocol for operation management and control.
Most of the equipment for project implementation was supplied and installed by our company, owing to long-term partners/suppliers who have been there for us for over 25 years.
